My hope is to raise awareness about autism, as well as the issues faced by families affected by autism. I created this blog in order to provide an online directory of information that I have found through years of research, as well as sites and books that have been referred to me since my oldest daughter was first diagnosed with autism. There's a lot I know, but still far more that I don't know. I hope we can all help each other understand this journey that we're all on.

Ohio and Kentucky Support Group Announcements
After a 6 month break from helping run Autism 4 Families, I have decided to start Comforting Ties back up. This time, there will be support groups in both Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington, Kentucky. The Kentucky meeting will be on March 7th from 6-8 PM at the Center for Great Neighborhoods, 1650 Russell St, Covington, KY, 41011. The Ohio meeting will be on March 28th from 6-8 PM, location TBA. I'm hoping it can be at White Oak Nutrition, 5830 Cheviot Rd, Cincinnati, OH, 45247, but haven't confirmed it yet. The Kentucky meetings will be the second Monday of every month from 6-8 PM, and the Ohio meetings will be the fourth Monday of every month. Part of the meetings will be following the autism support group suggested topics from the University of Louisville's Kentucky Autism Training Center (KATC); part of them will be open forum; and I'm hoping to have a speaker at least every other month relating to the topic of the month, or as requested by attendees. All are welcome, so feel free to stop on by. Parents, teachers, family members, etc. The more, the merrier. I may not have all of the answers, but I will try my best to find one for you.
